I have just spent 2 days in the company of my hero and guess what ... he is

1200 miles in 13 days - The Tour de France is 2200 miles and takes 20 days - with 2 rest days so .......

 
THIS IS A REAL CHALLENGE OF SPEED AND STAMINA, NOT JUST A BIKE RIDE!


From 22 July to 3rd August 2010 the team cycled around the country, with supporters out waving along the route and loads of events too.

There were up to 15 riders - 5 core riders and up to 10 sponsored or guest riders each day.

A full support team travelled with the Peloton, including a physiotherapist and mechanic to keep the riders and bikes in tip-top condition.

03 August - what a fantastic finish to a gruelling challenge.


02 August - A long ride into Silverstone (101 miles) but should be a great party when we get there.


30 July - Scotland was just brilliant, but now we're on our way south gives us an extra boost.

29 July - After the longest day, the shortest for us phew ...  Ony 56 miles !!!


28 July - Heading into Scotland today.  This is the longest ride (111miles) let's get to it for UK Youth !!


26 July - Great day in the saddle, fantastic party in Blackpool, their cycle plans are amazing. 


25 July - Here's what Matthew from LR8, one of the riders from Day 1 and 2 had to say. "The ride was a fabulous experience, the comaradery, persuation  and overwhelmingly welcoming feeling displayed by all the team were way above and beyond I could ever have imagined".


24 July - superfast ride, everything came together really pleased with our average speed and in Worcester for dinner. 


23 July - Cirencester to Cardiff today - 80 miles.  Weather was better and we made good time.  Great party in Cardiff.


22 July - Fantastic send off from Kensington Palace with HRH Prince Michael of Kent.  Hard day of 107 miles in sunshine and showers.  Got to Cirencester about 9pm.
