          Day to Day - events, mileage, diary from the team

All over the UK Bike Club organisers, youth groups, regions,
councils and businesses supported the 'Positive About Youth' campaign.

They s
howcased what they do in their communities for their youth with activities and themes for both the young and old to encourage them to “GET INVOLVED,” have some great fun and find the pleasures of getting out on their bikes.

Bike Club - a consortium project between UK Youth, CTC & ContinYou

DAY 1 - 107 miles

Challenge starts in London at  Kensington Palace then to McLaren's Technology Centre on to Williams HQ and ending in Cirencester.

DAY 2 - 80 miles

Cirencester to Cardiff - a straight hard push to The Lightship in East Bute Street, Cardiff.

DAY 3 - 100 miles

Cardiff to Worcester - to Upton Upon Severn (Nigel's home Town), Wellund Steam Fair, the Opening of Diglis Birdge and then University of Worcestershire (Motion & Sports Centre).

DAY 4 - 89 miles

Worcester to Chester - A straight run to the Live!, New Scene Youth Centre, Chester.

DAY 5
- 94 miles

Chester to Blackpool - the beginning of the day will see the opening of the New Youth Achievement Center. This will be followed by visiting O2's call centre in Preston Brook and AI's Offices en route.

The ride into Blackpool City Promenade marks another stage in Blackpool's plans to be one of the leading cycle cities in Britain and then the Peloton moves onto the main event at Stanley Park!

DAY 6 - 94 miles

Blackpool to Cumbria - a straight run to the Sheepmount Stadium, Carlisle for their 'Positive About Youth' event.

DAY 7 - 111 miles

Carlisle to Glasgow - another hard push to the Kelvingrove Park (Near West End) event.

DAY 8 - 56 miles

Glasgow to Haymarket, Edinburgh - a quieter day for the Peloton giving time to freshen up and prepare for the final legs of the challenge.

DAY 9 - 101 miles

Haymarket to Hexham (Slaley Hall) - a day purely focused on the passion of cycling.

DAY 10
- 91 miles

Hexham to Harrogate (Montpelier Road) - first stop Darlington Town Hall to open a new Cycle Cafe, then onto Carlton Lodge Center, Youth Open Day.

DAY 11 - 94 miles

Harrogate to Lincoln - stopping in Scunthorpe (North Farm Road) to visit 7KS Youth Achievement Foundation, that was formally opened by HRH Princess Royal & Nigel Mansell in May 2008.

DAY 12 - 101 miles

Lincoln to Silverstone Circuit - first stop in Leicester at the newly opened Weston Free Ride Park. Then on to Silverstone Circuit for a picnic and ride around the circuit.   The day finishes with a special evening buffet at the legendary BRDC's club house on the circuit (for invited guests) and to thank those who helped this challenge happen

DAY 13 - 79 miles

Silverstone to outside Buckingham Palace, London - the Final Day of the challenge will be marked by the opening of a new BMX park in Leighton Linslade. Into central London via Trafalgar Square and then down the Mall to Buckingham Palace for the finish of 1200 hard miles around the country and a well earned rest for Team UK Youth.
